Acts 2 is not just something to reflect on.It is the call of Jesus for His Church today.
ACTS 2
2 “Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven…All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit” “Nā puta whakarere mai ana he haruru nui nā te rangi… Nā kī katoa rātou I te Wairua Tapu”(para)
ACTS 2
42 “All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. 43 A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders.”
ACTS 2
46 “They worshipped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity 47 all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.”
Join the movement
As New Zealand Baptist’s we’re joining with our global whānau, the Baptist World Alliance, to see the life of the Acts 2 church as a road map for reaching the world.
We’re calling this collaborative initiative, He Haruru Nui: Acts 2 Movement.
He Haruru Nui is the sound of God at work among us— as each of us responds to His call in our lives and communities.
And as more of us step into that call, the sound grows stronger across Aotearoa.
Impact Paths
Designed with five key paths – Bible Path, Neighbour Path, Story Path, Justice Path, and Care Path – each aligning with key areas of ministry in the life of the Acts 2 church, we’re united in pursuit of a modern-day Acts 2 moment. Whether you are an individual believer, a local church or part of a broader network, there is a place for you in He Haruru Nui: Acts 2 Movement.
Renewal takes shape as each of us takes ownership of the call of Jesus in our own lives.
Across Aotearoa, that looks like people opening Scripture together, sharing their faith with others, showing care in tangible ways, building meaningful relationships, and working for justice in their communities.
Not as a programme—but as a way of life.

"Lord, what you did 2000 years ago, would you do it again."
